Riddim Jockey / Song Stylist
There is an art to Storytelling. Especially when you have an average of three minutes to tell it. Just a few minutes to take the listener where you want them to go. Storytelling is a craft perfected by most Singers, Poets, Rappers and Mic Dj's. The riddim (music) is the horse and you are the jockey. Timing is everything, crucial for delivery. Even the riddim has a story. That's usually how the riddim get's it's name. I prefer to be called a Riddim Jockey and Song Stylist.
One such example is in the lyrical content of the poem/ song I wrote titled "As He Made You". I address the topic of skin bleaching and how we should be thankful for the skin we are in. This song has a lot so say in 3:45 seconds. The topic is heavy, the message is delivered, the story is told and the riddim and the jockey are in sync. There are many more stories like this available on my album Rose Among Thorns:.

Here is an example of a song that takes you deep into a story. I chose this song as an example because the riddim actually sounds like a galloping horse. It is titled, "Can You Love Someone".
Produced by Computer Paul/ Boot Camp Records.
