DEWDROPS: HEARTICAL POETRY
(English & Jamaican Patwa)
is a skillfully crafted reader-friendly, anthology of 52 “heartical” poems: each poem opens a window into the heart and soul of the poet and takes the reader along a meandering path of true-to-life emotional experiences; love and loss; joy and pain; happiness and grief; but with every dewdrop, hope and inspiration rise and lift the spirit higher.
Grippingly imaginative, this is poetry through which one is able to draw personal
meanings beyond the creative outflow of each poem. From the poems conveniently
presented in five chapters (18 Patwa and 34 English), readers are at liberty to feast
randomly, subject to one’s mood or peruse chapter by chapter.
A glossary of the intriguing and colourful Jamaican Patwa, is a value-added inclusion;
it should prove helpful to visitors to JamRock.
Dewdrops: Heartical Poetry, like the morning dew, is a fresh approach to the
metaphorical use of “dewdrops”; let it refresh your mind, stir your spirit and move your soul.
